What is Model United Nations?

Model United Nations, also known as Model UN or MUN, is an extra-curricular activity in which students typically roleplay delegates to the United Nations and simulate UN committees. This activity takes place at MUN conferences, which is usually organized by a high school or college MUN club. At the end of most conferences, outstanding delegates in each committee are recognized and given an award certificate; the Best Delegate, Outstanding Delegate and Mentioned Delegate.

Thousands of middle school, high school, and college students participate in Model United Nations, which involves substantial researching, public speaking, debating, and writing skills, as well as critical thinking, teamwork, and leadership abilities.The Model Un experience allows students to culvitate skills and enrich their global affairs knowledge through interactive competition.

Highly distinguished MUN’ers,

It is my honor to be welcoming you to the 2nd Kültür Model United Nations Conference 2023-KAFMUN’23 which will be held between June 13-15, 2023.

As Kültür Schools students we have been working eagerly in order to organize MUN Conference in our school, make the students gain a diplomatic aspect for both their education and future life. Our teams’ main objective is to host our guests with our best, make you feel at home and enjoy the conference.

During KAFMUN’23 Conference; you will be simulating three committees, United Nations Disarmament and International Security Committee-DISEC, United Nations Human Rights Committee-UNHRC, United Nations Environment Programme-UNEP under the diplomatic language.

As a conclusion, on the name of Academic and Organization teams, I would like to express my gratitude and excitement to welcome you in the KAFMUN’23.
